1) How customers pick between alternative items:
- One interviewee said she cared mostly about price although if more than one brand was in her price range then she would pick according to the quality of the product. The other two interviewees said they cared more about quality.
2) This segment are very big online shoppers but resort to buying hygiene products in stores since that is the fastest and most convenient way they can get these items at the moment.
- All three women interviewed said that they would not finance this type of purchase, and would most likely use a credit or debit card.
3) What matters most to women after buying hygiene products is if the items did what they were supposed to. For example, if they bought pads they place value on how well the pad helped them avoid staining their clothes or if they bought some sort of period medicine such as Midol, they value how they felt after they drink the medicine.
4) After interviewing the group in this segment, I believe that they would be perfect candidates to market towards for the product I want to make. They are heavy internet shoppers and care about efficiency and convenience. This box would be delivered directly to their homes and it would be delivered on a date that they selected according to their monthly cycles. It would be a mindless purchase.
