8A: Solving the Problem

1) In my previous post (7A), I talked about a pressing problem affecting the population of women that are in their menstrual years. To recap a little: women are having uncomfortable experiences buying hygiene products. The negative stigma that surrounds menstrual cycles in our society is still very prevalent, and affects women negatively when they try to buy the products they need. Sometimes, time is also an inconvenience for many women. There are thousands of products available to purchase and if you do not research properly it can make it extremely overwhelming to purchase any products, and more specifically the correct products for your body.

2) My solution for this problem is to create a box that women can subscribe to receive monthly. In this box they would receive sample products of pads, tampons, liners, soaps, creams, etc. These samples would come from many different brands and would allow the person to try the products without having to spend a whole bunch of money on the products. This box would also be customizable so the person ordering can choose which products they would like to try for that month. These boxes have been done with clothing, make-up and even dog toys but none have been made where women are given the chance to try all the different brands of feminine products. This box would solve both problems talked about above. Women that maybe feel uncomfortable buying these products in stores would not have to worry about the pressure and judgment felt by others in public because the subscription and ordering would all be done from the comfort of their own home. It also solves the issue of inconvenience that comes with having a plethora of products to choose from. Instead of spending time researching items, each month people would be able to try them and see in person if they like them or not.
