My entrepreneurship story revolves around my family, and to be more specific my grandmother. Back when we lived in Venezuela she started her own business that consisted of selling perfumes and watches. When we moved to the United States the first part of the company that was moved over was the watches, and later on they incorporated the selling of perfumes. The business really took off here in the states and they were able to expand their outreach to customers all over the world. Currently, the company does not sell watches anymore but revolves around the wholesale of perfumes, importing and exporting them to chain stores that sell them individually. It was pretty amazing to grow up around such an independent and strong woman like my grandmother, she definitely helped me set the standard high for everything I do in life.
I enrolled in this course to learn more about and understand entrepreneurship. As of now, I have never actually wanted to start my own business or try to create something that will satisfy the needs of the general public. But I have played around with the idea of in the future, once I am a doctor of physical therapy, opening my own private practice.
